In this course, we will discuss the privacy issues in healthcare and the challenge of maintaining the right balance among health care quality, patient safety, and privacy.

  2. Explain consumer rights, responsibilities and limitations in relation to personal medical information

  3. Explain the challenge of maintaining the right balance among health care quality, patient safety, and health information privacy as it relates to the use/disclosure of information about mental illness and substance use disorders

  4. Describe the technology of RFIC chips and its uses, define the risks, and discuss potential public policy approaches to mitigate its potential problems
